Michael A. Miroue, DDS, MSD
Meet Dr. Miroue
What I love more than anything about being an orthodontist is enhancing the self-image and well-being of my patients. I really enjoy seeing them leave the office feeling better about their appearance. Not only do they have a better bite, but that beautiful smile is the icing on the cake!
It is so fulfilling to know that I’ve made a difference in people’s lives. I so enjoy watching the glow on the smiling faces of my patients as they look in the mirror at the time of braces removal. It is such a satisfying and rewarding experience for both me and my patients.
Orthodontics is truly a fun profession. I really enjoy hearing the laughter of our patients when we joke with them. We love to deliver excellent treatment with a dash of humor so our patients really feel at home. After all, we love to see our patients smile!
Education and continuing education
I completed my dental education at Loyola University in New Orleans, graduating with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery as valedictorian of my class. I then pursued my orthodontic degree at the University of Washington in Seattle where I graduated with a Master of Science degree in Dentistry. During my studies I was honored with "Outstanding Thesis Award."
Every year, I attend many continuing education courses in all aspects of orthodontic and dental treatment, so my patients will benefit from the latest advances in my profession. I also provide continuing education lectures to dental society members regarding various aspects of integration of treatment in the orthodontic and general dental disciplines.

Outside the office
Originally from New Orleans, I have lived and worked in San Diego with my wife Annelle for the past 38 years. When I’m not in the office, I surround myself with music by playing the organ, guitar, and trumpet. I enjoy working with computers, traveling, reading about history, and keeping fit.
I also believe it is important that children grow up with morals and guidance in a secular society. I enjoy making people’s lives better by sponsoring church activities in the El Cajon and San Diego communities.
